Responsibilities

Are you highly organised, information driven and collaborative with the ability to work independently on various projects?

The Energy and Data Officer will support the Head of Sustainability and Campus Services and wider Estates Team in delivering a high quality and safe teaching and learning environment to our students, staff, and visitors through improving and introducing innovative ways to manage utility operations, costs, data management and returns.

The postholder will act as the University's dedicated lead for utilities and facilities supplier liaison, with responsibility for managing data‑intensive, regulatory, billing, and service‑level matters within the University's multi‑million‑pound utilities budget. The Energy and Data Officer will also participate in supporting capital projects and compliance improvements across the estate.

The postholder will be the lead for the Sustainability and Estates teams in collating related data for our internal and external reporting requirements and identifying and delivering ways to improve data capture and quality. They will report back to the Sustainability Steering Board on utilities, data returns and carbon management (inclusive of decarbonisation efforts) amongst others.

Qualifications

Candidates with experience of: Facilities Officer, Sustainability Officer, Utilities and Suppliers Coordinator, Sustainability Coordinator may also be considered for this role.
