Role description:
Our teams are working on some of the UK's most technically challenging projects and AMP8 programmes. We are renowned for our expertise as a specialist water industry design and build contractor in delivering these complex schemes and are trusted by the country's most prominent water companies.
We have exciting opportunities for Electrical & ICA Engineers based at one of our offices across the UK (over 15 offices to choose from) with hybrid working available.
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the role is within our Engineering Team, where we work to provide environmentally conscious, innovative, and sustainable solutions to the water industry to protect our world for future generations. Candidates at Senior and Principal Level can also be considered.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, producing Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation design packages, ensuring projects meet cost, technical, legislative, quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., process, civil, structural, and mechanical).
- Coordinate designs with engineering teams, delivery teams, supply chain, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare high-quality design drawings, calculations, reports, and construction documentation.
- Work in accordance with our contracts, business processes, and procedures.
- Contribute to positive Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality outcomes.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Membership of The Institution of Engineering & Technology and working towards professional registration. The company will support and mentor this process.
- Design and build experience on water projects or similar process industries.
- Strong self-motivation, influencing, and people management skills.
- Knowledge of BIM design and digital tools such as REVIT / Plant 3D.
- Understanding of applicable British Standards, UK Industry Codes of Practice, and Water Industry Specifications.
- Driving license or ability to travel across the UK, including remote sites.
