Overview

Engineer, Platform Operations role at Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard). This pivotal role will involve operating and maintaining core platform services in the AWS cloud environment and contributing to automation of platform operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain core platform services (compute, storage, networking) in the AWS cloud environment.
  • Support and evolve monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure effective observability.
  • Maintain and support CI/CD tooling and pipelines for secure and reliable software delivery.
  • Contribute to automation of platform operations using infrastructure-as-code and scripting tools.

Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in observability platforms such as Dynatrace and SolarWinds.
  • Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with containerisation platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualised infrastructure.
