Engineer Surveyor (Compressed Air / Pressure Systems / Steam)

Salary: Basic from £42,000, Bonus, Van, Various Other Benefits

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

A growing organisation is recruiting for an Engineer Surveyor to complete inspections on pressure systems, air compressors and steam equipment. Predominantly covering the Eastern side of the UK, you will inspect the necessary equipment and report on any mandatory or recommended requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Engineer within the Compressed Air, Pressure or Steam environments to move into a specialist position and meet different clients on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on pressure systems, compressed air equipment and steam equipment.
• Inspect equipment and report on mandatory or recommended maintenance requirements.
• Engage with clients on a daily basis while visiting sites across the Eastern UK.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ideally from a field-based environment with experience dealing with customers daily.
• Mechanically biased engineer with some electrical knowledge.
• No formal qualifications required, but candidates must come from a Pressure Systems, Compressed Air or Steam background.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety (PSSR Regulations) as well as Quality and Environmental factors.
• Candidates from a Forces background who have worked on similar equipment are very suitable.
• Ability to spend up to 3 nights away from home and cover the Eastern side of the UK.
