Progress your engineering career in one of the key roles within AEIS. Our Engineer Surveyors are at the forefront of our business. This role is for an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer with a background in Power Press and/or hazardous machinery maintenance to join Allianz Engineering, a division of a large insurer and financial services company. You will need an awareness of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems and an understanding of the COSHH Regulations. As a newly recruited Engineer Surveyor, you will automatically be enrolled onto our induction-training programme to support your personal development. You will carry out the thorough examination of a wide range of mechanical equipment from 1000 Ton presses through to guillotines and injection moulding machinery. You will also undertake non-destructive training, maintain your competence, and complete crack detection of press components.Salary InformationPay: Starting salary £44,213 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.About YouUnderstanding of electrical control systems and associated documentation would be an advantage.Willing to learn and take on new challenges.Able to make well informed decisions, and willing to take responsibility.Effective in short, medium and long-term planning, in order to diarise meetings, visits and work allocation.Able to travel effectively within your local allocated work area.Competent in processing documentation, as well as undertaking general administration in a timely manner.Willing to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as and when required.Possess strong customer support skills, both facing and in written communication.Essential SkillsSuccessful candidates are required to hold at minimum a Level 3 qualification in mechanical engineering.Up to date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules relating to Power Presses.Experience in the manufacturing, repair or maintenance of Power Presses, Brake Press, Injection Moulding Machines, Woodworking equipment, and related Guards & Protection devices.Strong customer interaction skills, including good oral and written communication.Desirable SkillsDesirable to hold or be working towards a minimum qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HND / HNC / Full Technological Certificate).Experience in non-destructive examination (NDE - Magnetic Particle) is preferable but not essential due to full training provided.We support the government scheme “Access to Work”; please feel free to ask us about the access to work scheme.What We Will Offer YouWe offer a range of flexible benefits to choose from, flexible working options, global career opportunities across the Allianz Group, and career development and training.
