At Leonardo, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Systems Engineering Department as an Engineering Coordinator and play an integral role in supporting activities across engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment activities, such as onboarding engineering new starters, tracking candidates, and confirming start dates.
  • Engage with multi‑discipline teams to understand supply and demand.
  • Coordinate data to support areas such as utilisation and headcount management.
  • Track the monthly financial movement within the department, identifying and investigating anomalies.
  • Organise training requirements for the department and work with Learning & Development to book external training and conferences.
  • Act as point of contact for the function for those requiring administration support for timesheets, travel, expenses, absences, etc.
  • Assist with the organisation of departmental communications, briefings and events.
  • Track and coordinate desk moves within the office floors to support co‑location of teams.
  • Work alongside the Systems Function Lead and other Functional Coordinators to deliver our Early Careers campaign.

Qualifications

  • Comprehensive administrative / coordination experience in a busy environment.
  • Comfortable engaging with internal and external stakeholders across multi‑functional teams.
  • Competent user of Microsoft packages, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to achieve results.
  • Ability to work on own initiative against a variety of competing priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Self‑motivation with an aptitude for problem solving and driving issues to conclusion.

Security Clearance

This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, which could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
