Location: Battersea, London (3 days a week in the office)

What You’ll Do
We are looking for an Engineering Director to join our UK NPD team, creating a new range of innovative heated products for the Ninja brand. You will oversee and direct all aspects of design and development activities, drive innovation, and ensure successful execution of NPD projects aligned with SharkNinja’s goal of positively impacting people’s lives every day. You will put the consumer at the centre of everything you do, lead with an innovative mindset for the business, and act as the product’s market expert to ensure a 5-star product and commercialization experience for consumers. You must be passionate about bringing innovative, successful new products to market and be a strategic thinker who aligns category goals with the company mission. You should be positive, energetic, self-reliant, agile, and capable of developing and driving a 5-star team that embodies the SharkNinja Success Drivers.
What You’ll Bring
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and researchers. Provide guidance to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of NPD projects from conception to completion. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Research and Innovation: Drive continuous innovation by staying updated with emerging technologies, market trends, and industry advancements. Encourage and facilitate research activities to develop new products, technologies, or processes.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination: Foster collaboration between R&D, advanced development, product development and other departments to integrate NPD initiatives into product development cycles.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices in all NPD activities.
- Communication and Reporting: Effectively communicate NPD strategies, progress, and outcomes to key stakeholders and executives.
- Cross-Regional Collaboration: Collaborates with U.S. and China-based Product Development teams and multi-functional teams.
