Eaton is seeking an experienced **Engineering Manager** for the Power Electronics (PE) Center of Excellence (CoE) team located in Titchfield, UK. The ideal candidate for this role would be a technically adept engineer with leadership qualities who is capable of inspiring a cross-functional team and forging strong connections with international colleagues. Our site is undergoing a significant and exciting transformation as we relocate to a newly constructed facility in Daedalus. This state-of-the-art site will serve as the Centre of Excellence for aerospace manufacturing across Europe, marking a new era of innovation and excellence.Eaton’s Power Electronics CoE accelerates the company’s growth through the development of power electronics technology, platforms, and common building blocks that are scalable, cost-effective, and manufacturable, as well as standardized design methodologies that can be adopted by multiple business units, which provide a foundation for our business to more rapidly develop innovative products. ## What you’ll do:• Lead and direct a team of engineers and projects to achieve stated goals and objectives • Monitor and report on the overall performance of a team and projects. Creates a performance-based culture, encouraging the team to develop measurable goals and objectives that support CoE strategies. • Coach and mentor team members and strengthen the technical capability of the team • Supports the CoE Director to develop strategy, direction, and priorities. Creates action plans to drive strategies to realization. • Supports the CoE Director and Business Unit (BU) engineering leaders in the development of technology roadmaps, project pipelines, detailed project plans, and value proposition • Initiates and develops solid relationships with both engineering and business leaders within Eaton to drive the adoption of new technology, common platforms/designs, and state-of-the-art design methodologies. • Drives engineering excellence both in CoE and the BU’s teams.## Qualifications:• BS in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or equivalent. • Minimum10 years of engineering experience in electrification-focused product development and certification, with a preference for aerospace applications• Minimum 3 years of experience in leading people • Proven track record of leadership skills and technical capability • Experience in project management • Customer-focused with good relationship-building and communication skills • Ability to learn new skills, knowledge, industry, or products**Preferred Qualifications:*** Hands-on experience in electronics designs and product development, especially power electronics for safety critical applications, including aerospace application* Broad knowledge of power electronics designs including topology, analog/digital circuits, thermal management, control, and firmware* Understanding of compliance standards, including MIL standards* Experience working in diverse cultural situations with global customers and team members* Demonstrated knowledge of engineering processes* Design for Six Sigma certification## Skills:• Self-motivated and goal-oriented individual. • Good communication and presentation skills • Collaborative orientation, the ability to succeed in a highly team-oriented, global, and diverse environment. • Consistently acts in an ethical, open, honest, trustworthy, and truthful manner. • Desire for innovation, new product development, program management … to make what matters work! • Position requires up to 10% travel domestically and internationally.**What we offer to you:*** Competitive compensation and benefits package* Challenging projects in dynamic collaborative team* Flexible working solutions (flexible working hours, compressed week etc.)* We make your aspirations matter – Eaton encourages internal promotion, whenever possible* We make your growth matter - We invest in our employees for the long term – not just with salary and benefits, but with ongoing learning and development opportunities made available through Eaton University* We make your contributions matter - reliability, safety, efficiency, and sustainability are at the core of our dedication to improving people’s lives and the environment through power management technologies.* We make your well-being matter – We put your health and safety first.
