This is a full-time, remote role with one day a month in the office, offering a salary of £70,000 - £75,000 + benefits.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Engineering Manager with a Scrum Master background, who has a solid technical foundation (SDLC experience, previously a software engineer/developer). The ideal candidate will be delivery-focused with strong people management skills, managing a team of 6-9 engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove external impediments to facilitate team delivery.
• Ensure the successful delivery of software projects.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to manage delivery timelines and expectations.
• Monitor and report on project scope, time, and cost.
• Drive Agile practices within the team.
• Manage all team ceremonies, including stand-ups, refinement, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role in software development.
• Strong delivery skills and experience.
• People management and mentoring experience (1-2-1s, reviews).
• Excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Background in SDLC, starting as a Software Developer or Tester.
• Knowledge of data-driven environments is a plus.
