The Digital, Data & Technology Department (DDaT) is seeking to appoint an Enterprise Data Architect.

About the role

The University of Bath (UoB) is embarking on the next stage of its digital transformation journey, creating a Data and Insights Project to become a data-driven organisation.

The digital transformation journey is transforming the way data and technology services are delivered, requiring effective, proactive engagement with other departments and faculties to address key improvements.

The Enterprise Data Architect role sits within the Data & Technology pillar within DDaT, working closely with the Chief Data & Technology Officer (CDTO) and stakeholders on the creation and measurement of the university’s data strategy, providing data architecture leadership and setting standards.

About you

You will be a subject matter expert and trusted partner with excellent communication skills, working professionally and collaboratively to ensure solutions are aligned with the reference architecture to deliver maximum value to the business.

You will lead the architecture of the university’s Enterprise Data Hub, operating across a wide-ranging technology stack, and have the knowledge and skills necessary to take functional and non-functional requirements and provide expert architectural direction.

  • This role includes a market supplement of £17,000 in addition to the base salary scale.
  • This role is offered on a full-time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.
