THE ROLE

The Enterprise Risk & Data Governance Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation, oversight, and maintenance of the company’s enterprise risk management (ERM) framework by analyzing risk data, preparing reports, and working closely with various business units to identify potential risks. The role involves monitoring risk indicators, conducting risk assessments, and assisting in the development of risk mitigation strategies. The analyst also plays a key role in ensuring that risks are properly identified, assessed, and documented within the organization’s risk management systems.

OPPORTUNITIES

  • Support the maintenance of the organization’s enterprise risk management framework.
  • Assist in conducting enterprise-wide risk assessments to identify and quantify key risks (financial, operational, regulatory, strategic, etc.).
  • Collaborate with different departments to gather insights into emerging risks and assess potential impacts on the organization.
  • Assist with timely identification of risks associated with new business initiatives, products, or services.
  • Assist with monitoring of identified risks and their mitigation strategies.
  • Assist with monitoring adherence to risk tolerance levels.
  • Assist with the preparation of risk reports for senior management and the Board of Directors, highlighting key risk exposures and risk mitigation progress.
  • Assist in the development of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and risk dashboards for ongoing monitoring.
  • Maintain and update risk registers and databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is recorded.
  • Assist with the implementation of an enterprise risk management technology solution and maintain this once implemented.

SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in enterprise risk management, financial analysis, audit, or a related area.
  • Familiarity with ERM frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000) and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Experience with risk management software and tools is a plus.
  • Experience with ERM platforms (Riskonnect / Archer / MetricStream Inc) desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data analysis and interpretation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be hands on / ‘can do’ attitude person.
  • Teamwork capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
