About the role: The Enterprise Sales Lead will be a vital part of the Sales team within the Geospatial Division, reporting to the Head of Sales. The role is homebased, with quarterly in-person meetings and any required office-based training. You may attend customer meetings at client offices and participate in exhibitions, conferences, and events.

The Idox Geospatial Division combines four geospatial businesses into a single unit with a diverse customer base across public sector and commercial markets. The division is experiencing year-on-year revenue growth and has a three-year strategy to build the largest Geospatial services business in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate across all sectors to pursue new business opportunities within the existing geospatial product portfolio and convert sales opportunities.
  • Build relationships with target accounts, develop opportunities, and work with the Technical Consulting Group to evaluate and design propositions, propose terms, and close deals.
  • Leverage the product portfolio, including geospatial data platform, data licensing, geospatial insights engineering, DaaS integration, SaaS off-the-shelf apps, and professional services (design and build consultancy, GIS/product training).
  • Day-to-day activities include: building on existing whitespace reports to identify replicable sales opportunities, developing a growth pipeline, providing weekly activity and pipeline reporting, crafting customer presentations/proposals/quotations, updating Salesforce with accurate data, and studying the portfolio to become a trusted advisor.
  • Attend in-house sales training and meetings; report outcomes weekly or as requested.
  • Note: The employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet ongoing needs of the organisation.
  • Attend industry conferences and events to stay informed on regulatory or industry changes and opportunities.
  • Participate in training and in-house sales coaching.

To be successful you should bring

  • 5+ years of solution sales experience in public sector or commercial markets.
  • Proven sales success in relevant B2B data or software sales verticals.
  • Evidence of training in industry-recognised solution sales and of building a self-generated pipeline.
  • Understanding of value-based pricing and opportunity maximisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate leads and convert business opportunities; tactically smart and savvy in sales approach.
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen; experience in bid processes on and off frameworks.
  • Ability to learn quickly and independently; natural phone manner with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with Salesforce/Hubspot (useful); adaptable in a fast-paced agile environment; collaborative team player.
