Enterprise Software Architect - Global Enterprise Systems - Cloud/AWS/Azure/Microservices

Location: Remote
Type: Permanent | Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Role Overview
As Enterprise Software Architect, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining enterprise architecture frameworks, ensuring alignment with business goals and IT strategy. You will work with senior stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, and lead on best practice in cloud (AWS/Azure), microservices, DevOps, and enterprise integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable, high-performance, secure enterprise systems

• Translate business requirements into innovative cloud-based solutions

• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments

• Establish and enforce TOGAF-aligned architectural standards and governance

• Mentor technical teams on best practice in software architecture and solution design

• Lead architectural reviews and address cross-team technology challenges

Skills & Experience Required

• 10+ years in enterprise architecture, software design, or solution architecture

• Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks (eg TOGAF, Zachman)

• Expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms

• Proven track record with microservices architecture, APIs, and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation

• Familiarity with data architecture, big data, and integration patterns

• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
