Overview

This Quantum Consultant job role is based in Central London and can offer home working for a few days a week. You will work for a large, multi-national and multi-disciplinary consultancy that specialises in a number of areas including construction disputes and construction and engineering expert witness work. Whilst working in London, you will gain experience in supporting the lead testifying expert in carrying out Quantum related analysis on domestic and international disputes that are often heading for arbitration and litigation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and organize electronic databases, spreadsheets, and files as required by project demands.
  • Assist in analysing and evaluating claims and counterclaims, such as variations, loss and expense claims, termination claims, liquidated damages, and disruption.
  • Utilize creative problem-solving and effectively apply software tools, analytical techniques, and computer models to develop practical solutions.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to meet client deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Knowledge of contracts, entitlements and final accounts is most important.
  • Ability to carry out the vast majority of the typical duties and responsibilities of a QS, including procurement, valuation and measurement work.
  • Proven capability with MS Excel and/or other analytical software.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

Suitable candidates will be qualified to Degree level (or equivalent) as a minimum.
