EPR Configuration Manager
New Yesterday
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the EPR Team that supports the shared instance of Epic for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and The Royal Marsden Hospital (RMH).
GOSH is one of the most digitally advanced Trusts in the UK and in Europe, accredited with the first HIMSS level 7 Hospital in Europe for Outpatients. Our vision is to create a digitally enabled organisation that supports the delivery of efficient and effective patient care, achieved through easy-to-use systems that provide staff and patients with access to the right information, in the right place, at the right time. In March 2023 GOSH became the first Epic Connect site in the UK, sharing its EPR platform with The Royal Marsden Hospital.
To help us to achieve this vision, we are looking for a passionate individual to lead the configuration and ongoing development of Epic across the two organisations as the Configuration Manager within the OpTime & Anaesthesia Team.
You will lead a team of analysts to deliver BAU and ongoing optimisation in these areas.
The successful candidate must have a strong track record in Epic configuration in the OpTime & Anaesthesia Epic applications, and ideally will have experience of managing a team of analysts. You will be able to demonstrate expert knowledge and experience of developing pathways and processes that you will use to support the configuration of the relevant applications and work with stakeholders across the Trusts.
You should be experienced in managing projects, or areas within complex working environments and supporting change programmes. You will be expected to present highly complex build work (EPR software) in an easy-to-understand format to individuals and/or large groups of Programme and/or Trust staff, including at senior and director level. Much of this work requires close collaborative and co-ordinated working with a range of colleagues across the Trusts, including the Connect EPR team, our partners at RMH and with EPR supplier Epic.
If not already certified in one of the Epic applications listed, you must be prepared to undertake training and, within five months of start date, become qualified in at least one of the relevant applications.
Our team works flexibly with a combination of remote and office based working days. The successful candidate will be required to travel to all GOSH and RMH sites (Bloomsbury, Chelsea and Sutton).
GOSH is committed to recruiting the best person for the job, based solely on their ability and individual merit as measured against the criteria for the role; through a process that is fair, open, consistent and free from bias and discrimination.
We are committed to being a diverse and inclusive employer and foster a culture where all staff are valued, respected and acknowledged. All applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, disability status or length of time spent unemployed.
We particularly welcome applications from BAME communities, people with disabilities and/or long-term health conditions and LGBT+ community members.
We have policies and procedures in place to ensure that all applicants and employees are treated fairly and consistently. We are proud to be accredited as a Disability Confident Employer, a member of Business Disability Forum and a Stonewall Diversity Champion.
We have active and Executive supported BAME, LGBT+ and Allies, Disability and Long-Term Health Conditions and Women’s staff networks. Staff networks are employee-led groups formed around interests, issues and a common bond or background. Staff network members create a positive and inclusive work environment at Great Ormond Street Hospital by actively contributing to the Trust’s mission, values and efforts specific to inclusion. All of our staff networks are open to any employee.
