About the role
The EPR Data Consultant will work alongside International Compliance Advisors/Consultants who act as the customer-facing touchpoint, to ensure all international data submissions are completed to a high standard. The successful candidate will manipulate and collate final data submissions under various country regulations, including but not limited to waste packaging, waste electrical and electronics (WEEE), waste batteries and textiles. With support from Compliance Advisors/Consultants, they will quickly develop knowledge of relevant environmental waste compliance regulations, ensuring that all international data obligations are met for accounts.
The candidate will work closely with the Compliance Advisors/Consultants and maintain a solid understanding of the relevant accounts to ensure data submitted to authorities complies with legal requirements and regulations. They will work together to ensure the customer receives a high level of service overall. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a busy team environment and on their own initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing Valpak service.
Key Accountabilities
- Management Of Data For Allocated Accounts – Work with the customer-facing account manager to ensure international compliance data is accurate and submitted on time
- Work with the UK data team to ensure all data submissions are completed to a high standard
- Ensure that all required environmental data (including weights information) is collated appropriately
- Ensure data received from customers contains necessary information
- May involve telephone/email support to suppliers
- Data Cleansing And Maintenance – Become an expert in the in-house software system (EPIC) which inputs and analyses weights information
- Manipulate data into the relevant format for each country/regulation
- Use various tools to check and improve the accuracy of international data
- Use data skills to provide useful information for accounts (e.g., swings analysis and trends)
- Maintain a strong knowledge of international environmental regulations across a variety of countries – work with Compliance Advisors/Consultants to understand data requirements and scoping in relevant countries
- Develop and maintain knowledge of activities and obligations for relevant accounts
- Perform data checks for all accounts to ensure submissions are accurate and continuously improved
- Contribute to continuously improving and innovating the International Data Service – proactively seek efficiencies and further develop the service
- Inspect and enhance current procedures
- Optimise data automation practices
What we need from you
Skills
- Advanced IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel (VBA or other coding knowledge desirable)
- Ability to quickly absorb large quantities of technical information
- Excellent planning, scheduling and organization skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of analysing and manipulating large volumes of data is desirable
