Overview

We are looking for estate planning solicitors to join our technical Estate Planning team within Co-op Legal Services. At Co-op Legal Services we do things differently, with a focus on delivering an exceptional client experience and providing opportunities to develop your career. In this role you will manage estate planning cases end to end with a client-focused approach to targets. We will source new work for you, and there will be opportunities for progression as the team continues to grow.

Base pay range

Estate Planning Solicitor £32,000-£44,000 plus excellent benefits (Work level 6A). Full time, 37.5 hours.

We are now operating in a hybrid way, with time spent between home and offices in Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, or Stratford upon Avon. For details, see the hybrid-working policy.

What you'll do

  • Own caseload of complex estate planning cases, including Wills, Trusts and LPAs.
  • Use our case management system to ensure information is recorded accurately.
  • Engage with clients mainly by telephone and email.
  • Collaborate with expert team support to continually develop your legal skills; administrative support will be provided at certain case levels.
  • Mentor more junior members of the team using your legal knowledge.

This role would suit people who have

  • Qualified as a solicitor or chartered legal executive, CILEX, or TEP qualification, with a background in estate planning.
  • Knowledge of tax systems within England & Wales.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to draft documents.
  • Ability to use initiative and effectively prioritise work.
  • A client-focused approach with the ability to build positive relationships in a remote setting.
