Estates Manager - Based at Preston

New Yesterday

Overview

At Myerscough, our values drive us: we are passionate about education, collaborative in our approach, professional in everything we do, and committed to Fredie (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement). If you have experience in Estates, Facilities or Project Management; and you're keen to work somewhere you can have genuine input and influence; then our Estates Manager role is just what you're looking for. We are about to embark on creating a new campus masterplan and we would love to have you supporting us to achieve our College Vision for 2030. This is no ordinary estate. We range from a fully working farm to traditional classrooms; and from halls of residence to horse stables. We're not looking for an ordinary Estates Manager.

Reporting to the Executive Director, this is a key role for our service. Working across all centres you will contribute to the development of our new Estates masterplan and support the delivery of it. All our projects will start with you, to ensure the right project board is convened, a clear project journey set out, and, most importantly, delivered. As an experienced Estates Manager you will oversee leases and tenancies, and ensure our property portfolio is effectively managed. You will also oversee our transport, fleet, and grounds maintenance teams. You will have drive and ambition to see our campuses improve and become a clear destination of choice for both staff and students. You will affect this through your own team but also by working closely with other managers within the service.

Safeguarding, Recruitment and Equality

The successful applicant will be responsible for complying with all safeguarding policies and practices, and for ensuring student safety and wellbeing is at the forefront of everything they do. This post is not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. We are an equal opportunity employer; we want all our candidates to have a fair and equal opportunity to secure employment with us. We encourage applications from all underrepresented groups: BAME applicants, disabled applicants, and LGBT+ applicants. If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process due to a disability, please speak with a member of the People team. As a Disability Confident employer, we commit to guaranteeing an interview for any disabled applicant who meets all of the essential criteria.

Disability Confident About Disability Confident A Disability Confident employer will generally offer an interview to any applicant that declares they have a disability and meets the minimum criteria for the job as defined by the employer.
