Overview

Estimator / Pre-Construction Manager role at TieTalent, based in Merseyside. This is an Estimator heavy position with the opportunity to grow into a Pre-Construction Manager role within an established new build housing business.

Responsibilities

  • Review tender packages and determine whether to bid.
  • Lead the bid process as the single point of contact for all involved teams, including periodic work with land teams on feasibility.
  • Develop Bills of Quantities beyond high-level budgets and create a high-level tender programme to hand over to the Site team.
  • Develop a cost database for strategic benchmarking of market costs over the long term.
  • Initially act as Pre-Construction Manager and Estimator, working with the Construction Director and Commercial Director.
  • Contribute to building an end-to-end process that influences business wins for years to come.
  • Possibly lead Pre-Construction activities even if you are primarily an Estimator, depending on fit.
  • Manage your own department with a degree of autonomy and influence over projects, including a prominent 35 million value hi-rise project starting in 14 months.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience as an Estimator with the capability to lead Pre-Construction activities.
  • Ability to form strategy on bids, manage the bid process, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in developing cost databases and long-term cost benchmarking capabilities.
  • Strong fit for a small but flexible business with emphasis on character and collaboration.
