Overview
Role Title: EUC Programme Director
Duration: contract to run until 31/03/2026
Location: Northampton, Hybrid 3 days per week onsite
Rate: up to £644.64 p/d Umbrella inside IR35
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership: Lead the EUC workstream across architecture, engineering, and delivery; Define and execute the EUC roadmap aligned with business and IT strategy; Act as a thought leader in modern workplace technologies and digital user experience.
- Architecture & Solution Design: Architect end-user computing solutions with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency; Design and maintain EUC platforms including Windows, macOS, VDI, and mobile endpoints; Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and cloud strategies.
- Technology Implementation: Oversee deployment and lifecycle management of EUC technologies including: Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, Citrix/VMware VDI, Endpoint management (Intune, SCCM), Application packaging and virtualization; Drive automation and standardization across the EUC estate.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure EUC solutions adhere to Barclays' security policies and regulatory requirements; Implement zero-trust principles, identity and access management, and data protection strategies.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with infrastructure, security, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions; Engage with vendors and service providers to evaluate and implement new technologies.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify and pilot emerging technologies to enhance user experience and productivity; Drive continuous improvement through analytics, user feedback, and service optimization.
Technical Expertise
- Deep knowledge of EUC technologies including Windows/macOS, Microsoft 365, Azure AD
- Citrix/VMware Horizon, VDI
- Intune, SCCM, Autopilot
- Scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid environments
Security & Governance
- Experience implementing secure EUC environments with zero-trust architecture.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
Leadership & Communication
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence technical and business decision-making.
