About the role

Please note this position is a secondment opportunity/fixed-term contract for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

Responsibilities

  • As Events Manager you will work on a wide selection of events, independently managing a portfolio of bespoke and exclusive engagement opportunities that underpin fundraising and alumni activities.
  • OVPA delivers a broad range of philanthropic and alumni events per year, from intimate donor dinners, and receptions, to larger scale stewardship and international events.
  • Contribute to developing and delivering high-quality events that meet the needs of diverse audiences, with a data-driven approach to measure impact and success.

We are happy to consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible (minimum 0.8 FTE – equivalent of 4 days per week, stated salary to be pro-rata).

This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site. Please note Tuesdays are our in-office anchor day for all Advancement members. You will also be required to work in the office or at other venues as needed to prepare for and deliver events and associated activities.

The successful candidate will enjoy working collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues to develop and deliver exceptionally high quality events that meet the needs of our audiences. They will be experienced in fundraising events management, creative, and constantly looking to develop new ways to engage people with UCL’s research and support our flagship opportunities, while ensuring this is underpinned by a data driven approach to measure impact and success.
