Position: Executive Director, Giving, Volunteering and Voice
Location: Home-based. Frequent travel will be required
Salary: £120k per annum
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Role purpose
The charity provide tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year, fund vital scientific research, and campaign to secure the best care and support for everyone affected by stroke. We re looking for an Executive Director of Giving, Volunteering and Voice to help grow reach and impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead through relationships by bringing people together around a shared vision and inspiring colleagues to embrace digital and data in ways that strengthen human connection.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and inclusion to support teams in creating personalised supporter experiences that deepen trust, grow loyalty, and increase long-term impact.
- Ensure significant growth in fundraising income, volunteering, and advocacy that fuels the strategy, supported by integrated supporter journeys that facilitate giving, volunteering, and campaigning.
- Shape cultures and embed supporter-centric strategies, with a proven ability to deliver growth through relationship-led fundraising and stewardship.
- Combine expert knowledge of supporter journeys with strategic vision and commercial acumen to unlock new opportunities through collaborative working, talent unleashing, and creativity.
- Contribute to a bold, values-driven leadership team committed to changing the story of stroke and building a movement that transforms lives.
Qualifications and experience
- Experience of senior leadership in income-generation, customer engagement, or related fields with a track record of driving growth.
- Ability to work with the Chief Executive and wider Executive team to ensure teams help and inspire thousands more people to contribute to tackling stroke.
- Experience shaping cultures and embedding supporter-centric strategies; strong ability to lead through people and partnerships.
- Strategic vision, commercial acumen, and enthusiasm for collaborative working, talent development, and enabling creativity to unlock new opportunities.
