Context

Following joining the Arts Council National Portfolio in 2023, we are now in an exciting period of growth and transformation including strategic development, furthering international partnerships, and innovative environmental touring practice.

Role

This is an opportunity for an imaginative, resourceful and collaborative arts leader to join us as we transform and strengthen our work. The Executive Director will lead the strategic direction of the organisation and maximise its potential through diversifying income streams, navigating risk and securing partnerships.

Who should apply

We are open to receiving applications from people currently holding different kinds of roles. You may be returning to work after a period of parental leave and would prefer to work part-time. You might be a General Manager, a Senior Producer, an Operations Manager, Head of Development or an Executive Director. You might be working freelance or PAYE, for a venue or an independent organisation - we'd love to hear from you.

Development and training

This role will allow for training and mentoring for the right candidate. If you have less experience, skills or knowledge in one of the essential areas of the job but you have an appetite for the role and are ready to take the next step - don't let it stop you from applying.

Diversity and inclusion

We actively encourage people whose backgrounds, lived experience and skills are underrepresented in the sector to join us and positively impact our working practice. Any candidate who self-identifies as Deaf, deaf, hard-of-hearing, disabled, neurodiverse, and/or from the Global Majority and meets the essential criteria is guaranteed an interview as these individuals are under-represented in our current workforce.
