Brook Street (UK) Ltd have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Officer for our leading Public Sector client Education Authority NI, Ballymena.

This role will start immediately and is expected to last until 31-12-25 initially with possible extension. This role will have Hybrid options to WFH after the initial training period in the office.

Job Purpose

Executive Officer – General office administrative duties such as but not limited to:

  • To provide administrative support in relation to all aspects of the work of the section using the full range of IT equipment including typing, databases, spreadsheets, email, intranet and internet facilities.
  • Checking of Access NI applications alongside Right to Work in the UK documentation.
  • To provide advice and assistance to Education Authority officers, customers, the public and other professionals in respect of agreed aspects of the service.
  • To assist in the collation of factual data and statistical information from various sources to support the work identified.
  • To prepare letters, minutes, notes and other clerical support to officers as appropriate.
  • Customer service (Telephone/directly customer facing).
  • As the Executive Officer, you will be required to solve problems, and you will provide a significant level of specialist support and advice.
  • You will plan, organise and prioritise work to ensure the timely completion of tasks and that deadlines are met.
  • Undertake any other duties in line with the Grade and as directed by the Office Manager.

Essential Criteria

Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3, BTEC National or two 'A' levels or equivalent or higher examination qualifications and a minimum of one year's experience in an office environment.

OR

A minimum of three years' experience in an office environment

  • No weekend work (Shift pattern Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)

The rate of pay is £16.01 per hour, the hours of work are 36hrs Monday to Friday.
