Experienced HR Manager to Support and Strengthen a Creative Design Studio

A collaborative team of architects and designers is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join them on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and capable professional who enjoys combining strategic HR knowledge with day-to-day operational support.
The successful candidate will play a central role in nurturing a positive and engaging workplace culture, while ensuring compliance and consistency across all areas of HR. Reporting to the board of directors, you’ll be trusted to deliver reliable, professional advice and build effective connections at every level of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and compliance
- Overseeing company HR systems (Access People HR) and accurate record-keeping
- Coordinating payroll with external providers
- Leading recruitment processes, onboarding, and internships
- Organising CPD, training, performance reviews, and development initiatives
- Managing employee benefits, wellbeing programmes, and engagement
- Overseeing Health & Safety compliance in collaboration with an external advisor
- Providing clear and concise HR reporting to directors
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum5 years’ HR experience, including generalist HR support
- Strong communication skills and a confident, approachable manner
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Integrity, discretion, and a proactive, professional outlook
- Solid knowledge of HR policies, practices, and legislation
- Proficiency inMicrosoft Office(experience with HR software an advantage)
- Background in architecture, interiors, or design is beneficial but not essential — an interest in creative industries is welcomed
