Overview

Experienced Interior Designer (F&B) role at The Construction Index Ltd – North London. The studio specialises in hospitality projects, with a focus on concept development, interior architecture and FF&E. Strong Vectorworks experience is required.

Company background: established for two decades, delivering hospitality, F&B and retail projects in the UK and overseas. They aim to create practical and timeless interiors and are expanding their creative team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Understanding and taking responsibility for the client’s brief and project challenges
• Visualising concepts (hand-drawn or software-based sketches) and preparing client presentations
• Producing layout plans and marking up CAD drawings for juniors to assist
• Material research and proposals
• Dealing directly with clients, contractors and third parties
• Working within the timelines and fee constraints of a project
• Preparing application information for statutory applications (planning/building control/CDM)
• On-site inspections and project delivery

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years’ of F&B and/or hospitality experience in the UK
• Proven experience taking projects from concept through to delivery
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Familiarity with building regulations and planning issues and ability to address relevant matters
• Ability to prepare and submit statutory applications (under supervision/guidance)
• Good understanding of interior construction methods – joinery, partitions, metalwork, etc.
• Proficiency in Vectorworks, Adobe Suite and SketchUp
