As a Farm Consultant, you will be a trusted advisor to farming businesses, delivering high-impact consultancy that drives sustainable, profitable outcomes. You will combine strong agricultural knowledge with commercial acumen to support clients in achieving their goals, while also growing your own portfolio through proactive business development.This role suits someone who is resilient, self-starting, and confident in building relationships — someone who listens deeply, understands the challenges farmers face, and offers practical, data-driven solutions.
This role is based in the Lancashire area
You Will
- Deliver an inspiring customer experience by consistently exceeding expectations.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with farmers, acting as a long-term partner in their business success.
- Empower clients to achieve their business goals through tailored farm, financial, and environmental advice.
- Develop and manage a profitable portfolio of clients, balancing relationship management with new business development.
- Proactively identify and act on opportunities to add value to existing clients and secure new business.
- Prospect for new clients through networking, referrals, and market awareness.
- Collaborate with Promar and Genus teams to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
- Stay informed on industry trends to ensure Promar delivers cutting-edge value.
- Provide trusted, data-driven advice on: - Budgeting and financial planning - Environmental impact and sustainability - Livestock and land management - Infrastructure planning and funding opportunities
- Use Promar tools (e.g. Milkminder, Agstute) to support consultancy delivery.
- Follow internal systems and processes, including time recording and compliance.
Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent) in agriculture, agri-business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in agriculture is essential; dairy and livestock experience preferred.
- Skilled in interpreting on-farm data and producing actionable insights.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with digital tools.
