Overview
Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division is seeking a tech-savvy and personable Applications Engineer, Aerospace and Defence to support our Aerospace and Defence customers with our products and services. This role involves providing support and case management, ensuring customer success, and collaborating closely with various teams including Customers (civilian and military), Sales, Engineering, Export Compliance, and Account Managers.
The position involves building relationships with UK Defence contractors and acts as the main contact point.
The Company: Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division is a global leader in GNSS ground reference stations, augmentation networks, and electronic defense products, with over 30 years of experience delivering innovative and reliable positioning, navigation, and timing solutions for military operations.
The Location: This is a remote role based in the UK or at the Aberdeen office.
Responsibilities:
- Providing technical support for pre-sales and post-sales issues, including data analysis, troubleshooting, investigation, issue replication, and support via phone and email.
- Generating and reviewing technical support documentation such as FAQ and Application Notes.
- Collaborating with engineering teams and providing support for physical investigations and data collection.
- Reviewing marketing materials, performing product testing and verification, and supporting customer demonstrations and troubleshooting in person.
- Contributing to root cause analysis.
Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Degree in Geomatics, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with 2+ years of industry experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally, including trips to Canada to collaborate with the Applications Engineering team.

Nice-to-Have:
- Experience working directly with customers in support or service delivery.
- Experience within the UK Defence industry or with Defence contractors.
- Experience with GNSS and INS systems installation and troubleshooting.
