Field Service Engineer - Unique Custom Machinery
Location: Corby (with national and international travel)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established manufacturer of unique custom machinery as a Field Service Engineer. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role, ideal for someone who thrives on variety, problem-solving, and travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair machinery, including conveyor systems


• Carry out servicing on-site and provide technical guidance to customers


• Demonstrate correct machinery usage to operators and site teams


• Work in confined spaces when required


• Test and commission equipment after installation or repair


• Ensure compliance with quality control procedures to maintain high service standards


• Complete all relevant paperwork, including time sheets and service reports


• Travel to various client sites nationally and internationally (essential)

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance and installation


• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, or a time-served mechanical engineering apprenticeship


• Strong mechanical fitting and electrical engineering skills


• Good working knowledge of electrical principles


• Full UK Driving Licence and valid passport (essential for travel)


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with clients at all levels
