The Role & Responsibilities

We’re looking for an ambitious and skilled finance professional to join our close knit team. You are likely self‑motivated, keen to learn and comfortable working in a fast paced environment with a high degree of diligence. You will be an integral part of a small team with high ownership and autonomy encouraged to run with processes and tasks as you develop. You likely work best in a culture where ambition is high and egos are low, and you’re excited to get broad exposure to all areas of finance and operations. This role will suit someone who is curious and eager to learn, and offers significant growth, learning, and development opportunities as it spans across many areas of the company. You will gain exposure to the world’s leading technology founders, corporate CEOs and political leaders. You’ll report to our Finance Associate and CFO.

Portfolio Management & Investor Relations

  • Collect and analyse data from our portfolio to drive decision‑making, actionable insights and reporting
  • Support our quarterly investor reporting and broader investor relations
  • Engage directly with investors, preparing materials and responding to ad‑hoc requests

Fund Finance & Operations

  • Supporting quarterly valuation analyses of the portfolio and contribute to the preparation of quarterly fund reporting
  • Support and oversee our third party fund administrator on capital calls and distributions
  • Work with our fund administrator to prepare and review quarterly management accounts for the funds
  • Own and optimise our fund and portfolio management software

Management Company Finance

  • Contribute to financial planning processes (quarterly reviews, forecasting, annual budget)
  • Work with external accountants to ensure accurate and timely preparation of quarterly management accounts and Group VAT return
  • Liaise with our auditors during the annual audit
  • Day‑to‑day financial processes such as invoicing, expenses and payroll

Compliance

  • Work with our external compliance consultant to ensure that the organisation is fully compliant with FCA rules and regulations
  • Assist with tax compliance across all firm and fund entities, including VAT

Additional Responsibilities

  • Be the go‑to person for ad‑hoc queries, tasks and research to support Giant’s decision‑making process

  • 3+ years experience in a finance role in a similar field (start‑up or VC / PE experience is a bonus)
  • ACA or CFA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated expertise with spreadsheets, databases and presentation software
  • Highly diligent: superb quantitative analysis skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Autonomous prioritisation: own projects and drive them forward
  • Proactive: improve existing processes and seek new solutions
  • A positive mindset: be solutions oriented
  • High self awareness: understand your strengths and weaknesses
