Contract: Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week)

Location: Hybrid – multiple sites with flexibility to work from home

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Finance Business Partner to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting the effective use of resources to deliver organisational priorities.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide insight, guidance and challenge across budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, developing strong relationships to influence decision-making and ensure long-term financial sustainability.

The role is varied and collaborative, requiring flexibility to work with different business areas over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to understand priorities and provide financial insight that supports strategic and operational decisions.
  • Lead on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, ensuring robust and achievable outcomes aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide timely and accurate management information, variance analysis and commentary to budget holders.
  • Support the development of costing, pricing and operating models to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Deliver training and guidance to budget holders, supporting them to effectively manage their budgets.
  • Work with large data sets to produce financial and commercial analysis to support decision making.
  • Depose for the Senior Finance Business Partner when required and lead on key projects or initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, systems and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies and statutory requirements.

About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting and reporting within a complex organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large data sets and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • The ability to motivate and, where required, manage junior team members.
  • A collaborative and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to challenge and influence decisions.
