Overall Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Business Partner is a critical, influential, and high-profile role, this role is pivotal in supporting the businesses to drive the overall performance, constantly aiming for ambitious growth and continuous improvement – essential to continue to deliver results. We are looking for a finance professional with proven skills of B/S management, P&L delivery and growth, a keen eye on automation and standardisation. An initiative-taking individual, with great commercial acumen, a resilient leader, technical capability, and high integrity.

Key Accountabilities

  • Business partnering for RA Classics, providing commercial support to the Business Director and Ops Directors. Trusted sounding board for the BD & ODs
  • Provide financial support to the business in developing, influencing and executing the overall subsector strategy.
  • Champion and influence the continued use and development of Power BI – looking at enhanced reporting and potential efficiencies for the wider finance team.
  • Attend client meetings and QBDs where required
  • Lead preparation of the business review for RA Classics
  • Managing the RA Classics finance team
  • Support the Bid Finance Analyst with new business and retention proposals for RA Classics
  • Overall responsibility for forecasting & governance of subsector finances – highlighting and managing risks and opportunities around achievement of subsector targets.
  • Ownership of the financial results and reporting of performance including budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Challenge and appraise investment decisions and new business opportunities.
  • Manage month end process and journals and accounts closure.
  • Preparation and review of monthly management information including in-depth variance analysis and underlying performance reporting.
  • Conduct Balance Sheet reviews and ensure compliance with Group & UK Accounting Manual across the business.
  • Manage working capital and cashflow targets for the business.
  • Visibility at business head offices to support operators as and when the business requires.

Candidate Requirements: Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA with 3+ years of post-qualification experience
  • Commercial experience gained in large contract management
  • Preparation and review of budgeting and forecasting
  • Advanced excel and modelling
  • SAP & Power BI experience (Anaplan experience desirable)
  • Clear evidence of Business Partnering with non-financial colleagues up to a senior level
  • Be comfortable working with uncertainty and in a fast paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
  • Well-developed critical thinking and problem solving with an ability to clearly present outcomes and influence stakeholders
  • Results orientated, with ability to take decisions when necessary and the resilience to be challenged
  • Line management experience
