Looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a FTSE listed business for a 12month contract with potential for long term opportunities. This role will provide strategic financial insight and leadership across the corporate support function. This role combines commercial acumen, analytical expertise, and strong stakeholder management to drive business performance, cost efficiency, and informed decision-making within a complex, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership, building strong relationships and providing commercial, tactical, and strategic insights.
  • Take full ownership of financial performance, including P&L, balance sheet, working capital, and cash management.
  • Lead planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles, ensuring clear articulation of key assumptions, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and assess business cases for new initiatives, acquisitions, disposals, and reorganisations, including ROI and risk evaluation.
  • Drive cost management and continuous improvement, using analytical reviews, KPIs, and zero-based or rolling forecast techniques to deliver efficiencies.
  • Produce accurate, insightful financial reporting, commentary, and presentations that clearly communicate performance and key drivers.
  • Collaborate with shared services and divisional teams to ensure robust financial governance, accurate reporting, and process alignment.
  • Support audits, statutory reporting, tax compliance, and adherence to internal controls and finance policies.
  • Deputise for senior finance leadership as required, providing strong business partnership and strategic oversight.
  • Manage and develop a finance analyst, leading recruitment, performance management, and professional development while fostering a culture of accountability, communication, and improvement.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner, FP&A Lead, or equivalent senior finance role in a complex, multi-entity organisation.
  • Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and cost management.
  • Experience supporting M&A activity, integrations, or organisational change.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong presentation/reporting skills (PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication, prioritisation, and project management abilities.
  • Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of finance systems, governance, and control frameworks.
  • People management experience with a focus on team development and performance.
