I’m delighted to be partnered with an established Housing Association, in the Edinburgh area. Regarded as one of the largest Housing Associations in Scotland, they have multiple offices and house over 8000 residents.

They’re looking to hire a Senior Finance Business Partner, to join the team and report into the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Management and production of the quarterly management accounts process.
  • Preparation of lender covenant calculations and reporting to lenders to satisfy the requirements of loan agreements.
  • Main liaison for external auditors and lead in the production of the annual statutory accounts.
  • Manage and maintain monthly ledger control reconciliations.
  • Deliver quarterly VAT returns in line with current HMRC guidelines.
  • Provision of advice and support to budget holders on budget management.
  • Improve efficiencies in finance processes across the organisation.
  • Management, development and motivation of a small team in line with departmental goals.
  • Lead in the production of benchmarking data on financial performance.
  • Leading a team of two Finance Business Partners and mentoring a wider team of 5.
  • Reporting into the Finance Manager and Finance Director, responsible for producing reports for budget holders, the executive team and the Board.

Essential experience

  • Qualified Accountant, or working towards a recognised accounting qualification - ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW
  • Previous experience of working in Social Housing
  • Strong to Advanced Excel

Compensation

For this you will receive a competitive salary up to £53,000 base, moving to £56,500 after probation, plus excellent benefits which include:

  • A Generous Pension Scheme up to 10% employer contribution
  • Generous holiday allowance up to 41 days annual leave
