Finance Director / CFO

Location: Exeter (hybrid)

We are a fast‑growing private‑equity‑backed e‑commerce business with a current turnover of approximately £5 million, specialising in designing, building and optimising online stores for ambitious brands. With an exciting growth phase ahead, we are looking to strengthen our leadership team with a hands‑on CFO who will build the finance function from the ground up.

Role Overview

As CFO, you will establish and lead the finance team, oversee all financial operations, reporting and compliance, produce accurate and timely management reports for leadership and investors, manage banking relationships and ensure robust financial controls, support strategic initiatives and partner with private equity stakeholders as the company grows.

• Ability to be hands‑on initially, while building and scaling a team.
• Commercially astute, with an understanding of e‑commerce dynamics.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
