Finance Director – UK Business Lead

We’re supporting a leading international consumer goods group in appointing a Finance Director to lead their UK business, a key position within a fast-paced, performance-driven and collaborative environment.

The Role

As Finance Director, you’ll sit on the UK leadership team and act as the right hand to the UK MD. You will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, enabling growth, and ensuring the integrity and performance of the UK business.

This is a rare blend of commercial finance leadership and strategic partnership, offering genuine influence on the UK operations. You’ll lead a capable local finance team spanning business partnering, FP&A, and Commercial Finance, while working closely with Group and Shared Services colleagues to deliver best-in‑class reporting, compliance, and insight.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the UK Finance function, providing strategic direction and financial insight to support commercial decision‑making.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to drive profitability, optimise pricing and investment decisions, and identify growth opportunities.
• Oversee all FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, long‑term planning, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with UK and Group accounting standards, statutory reporting, tax, and audit requirements.
• Work closely with the regional Shared Services Centre to deliver efficient R2R, P2P, and VAT processes.
• Champion working capital improvement, cost control, and ROI discipline.
• Mentor, coach, and develop a small but high‑performing finance team.
