Finance Director/CFO

Location: Needs to be based in or around Exeter (hybrid)

This is a fast-growing private equity backed e-commerce business specialising in designing, building, and optimising online stores for ambitious brands. The company combines creativity, technical expertise, and data-driven strategies to help businesses scale online. With a current turnover of approximately £5 million, the business is entering an exciting growth phase and looking to strengthen its leadership team. The need for hands on is critical whilst you transition to an internal finance department and initially will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts until the team is built.

Our client is looking for a hands-on CFO to join our leadership team and build the finance function from the ground up. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and wants to make a tangible impact on a growing business.

As CFO, you will:

• Establish and lead the finance team as the business scales.
• Oversee all financial operations, reporting, and compliance.
• Produce accurate and timely management reports for leadership and investors.
• Manage banking relationships and ensure robust financial controls.
• Support strategic initiatives
• Partner with private equity stakeholders as the company grows.
