Finance Lead – Resolution & Recovery
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Lead – Resolution & Recovery to join our team in Financial Planning & Reporting.
In this new role, you’ll review, critique and enhance the Society’s existing processes with regards to the Bank of England’s ‘Valuation’ and ‘Restructuring’ capabilities to support resolvability. You will work across various functions within the Finance division to improve documentation, models, data and controls to ensure compliance with the Bank of England’s timeliness and robustness requirements.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of one day a week of onsite presence in our central Leeds office required.
This is a 6 month fixed term contract.
Responsibilities
- Review existing capabilities in the areas of ‘Valuations’ and ‘Restructuring’, identify gaps and develop the enhancement plan
- Further enhance and develop existing capabilities in with BoE policy and industry best practice
- Ensure all relevant processes are comprehensively documented and the documentation is actively tested
- Ensure all associated models and EUC’s are compliant with the Society’s model governance requirements
- Conduct thorough and comprehensive model testing to ensure validity and that the models are sufficiently dynamic to test multiple scenarios
- Create playbooks for the Valuations and Restructuring processes
- Ensure appropriate controls are in place and are embedded into the Society’s control framework
About You
- A strong understanding of the Bank of England policies on Valuations and Restructuring, alongside practical experience in the Financial Services sector
- Highly numerate and strong commercial acumen - capable of digesting and interpreting technical information
- Rigorous, methodical and well organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver to deadlines
- Ability to identify and deliver process improvement and positive change - address key risks/implications
- Detailed knowledge of the main Microsoft applications and the current MI/ finance systems utilised by the business
- Ability to review, manage and develop new financial and analytical models
