Role

Our client, a government-funded organisation offering free advice to leaseholders and park home residents, is scaling up. They need a sharp, proactive Finance, Payroll & Compliance Manager to help deliver smarter services to more people.

The Role:

Lead finance, payroll, compliance, and risk – working closely with the CEO and COO. You’ll be instrumental in bringing payroll in-house, transitioning from an outsourced provider to a streamlined, automated system. This is a hands-on role with real impact across finance, governance, and operations.

Quick Facts:

  • Location: Hybrid – home-based with 2 days/week in King’s Cross
  • Contract: 23-month FTC (with potential to go permanent)
  • Team: ~40 staff

You’ll bring:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Experience running payroll and managing bookkeeping (Xero, Sage, etc.)
  • Strong grasp of compliance, audit, and risk frameworks
  • Ability to simplify complex financial info for non-finance audiences
  • A proactive mindset – ready to improve systems and drive change

Experience in public/charity sectors, knowledge of ESG or GDPR, and a flair for automation and reporting.
