We’re looking for a talented Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Lead to join a forward‑thinking organisation at an exciting stage of growth. This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role that blends financial expertise with a passion for systems, data, and continuous improvement.

As the FP&A Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving data‑led financial insight and decision‑making across the business. You’ll take ownership of the FP&A landscape – building financial models, dashboards, and forecasting tools that enable better strategic and operational outcomes.

Working closely with the Director of Finance and key business stakeholders, you’ll streamline reporting processes, improve data accuracy, and help shape the future of data‑driven finance within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and optimise financial and operational reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Streamline and automate reporting processes using systems such as Salesforce, Syspro, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Analyse large data sets to identify trends, variances, and business drivers.
  • Apply AI tools such as predictive analytics and intelligent forecasting to enhance financial insight.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, and Operations to provide timely and actionable analysis.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data quality, system integration, and reporting accuracy.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning cycles with robust modelling and scenario analysis.
  • Share knowledge and upskill the wider finance team to enhance data literacy and analytical capability.
  • Deputise for the Director of Finance when required.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Fully qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant with demonstrable post‑qualification experience.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills with strong financial modelling capability.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a data‑driven mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
  • Experience implementing process improvements and driving automation.
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Syspro) desirable.
  • Exposure to business transformation or system implementation projects advantageous.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary up to £85,000
  • Permanent position with long‑term career prospects
  • Hybrid working model – 3 days per week in the Guildford office
  • Opportunity to shape data‑driven decision‑making across the finance function
  • Supportive and innovative working culture
