About the role
We have an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to join our Reporting and Accounting team in our head office in Edinburgh. The role involves helping to add value by way of review, challenge, analysis and financial control while acting as a key point of contact for colleagues in our shared service centre in Krakow.
Working within Reporting and Accounting you'll have exposure to and be responsible for elements of period-end close activities and associated external audit, incorporating legal entity management reporting, assessment of financial controls and other associated ad hoc tasks. The role is a unique blend of core financial responsibilities and dedicated involvement in our upcoming Enterprise Resource Planning system change over to ensure the integrity, cleanliness and migration readiness of existing financial data to support a successful transition.
You'll be a key point person and coordination point for the accounting processes performed in the Heineken European shared service centre based in Krakow, and you'll also business partner with other internal teams such as Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Legal, Process Control and Improvement, Internal Audit and Digital and Technology. Extensive collaboration with the external auditors will also be required.
Who we’re looking for?
A Qualified Accountant with previous experience in both internal and external Financial Reporting. Experience within FMCG or a large organisation would be preferable.
If you:
- have experience of IFRS or UK GAAP/FRS 101 accounting standards
- experience working with a major ERP system (SAP, Oracle etc).
- Demonstrable involvement in a prior system migration, implementation, or major upgrade is a significant advantage and familiarity with data governance and data integrity principles.
- are an effective communicator
- enjoy working as part of a team
- can develop strong working relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders
- have excellent analytical skills with an enquiring mindset
- are motivated by continuous process and control improvement and efficiency.

Salary: circa £50,000 - £60,000 base depending on experience, plus full benefits listed above.
