Are you a qualified accountant keen to lead finance in a creative media environment? Do you enjoy balancing technical control with commercial involvement?

We’re supporting a well-established media business in the search for a Financial Controller. The role combines team leadership, financial rigour and business partnering, offering the chance to embed best practice while contributing to the company’s ongoing growth.

Your responsibilities

• Take charge of the finance function and oversee a small team
• Produce timely monthly accounts and board packs
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
• Ensure accurate statutory filings and compliance obligations
• Manage the audit process and liaise with external advisors
• Strengthen financial controls and refine processes
• Oversee daily finance operations, including payables, receivables and payroll
• Provide analysis and insight to support management decisions
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial integrity
• Improve reporting tools and help drive system enhancements
• Act as a trusted partner to senior managers across the business
• Play a key role in strategic and commercial initiatives

Your profile

• Good working knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience leading a small team
• Strong grasp of both technical and commercial finance
