Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to join our community hub team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation's core operations and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership of the Billing and Credit Control teams.
- Delivery of the Key Strategic Objective to deliver working capital improvements.
- Designing departmental objectives and ensuring the achievement of key KPI’s aligned to organisation goals.
- Overseeing the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
- Working with other Finance colleagues ensuring correct revenue recognition in line with relevant controls and internal policies.
- Collaborating with commercial and operations teams, to resolve billing disputes.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for both Billing and Credit Control.
- Supporting the debt collection process and dealing with escalations.
- Reducing overdue debt and unallocated cash.
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar Senior Finance role, with specific expertise in Billing and Credit Control.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, revenue reconciliation and credit risk management.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Advanced Excel skills.
