Role overview: We seek an experienced senior analyst for our Financial Crime Intelligence team. You will report to a team lead and deliver analysis and investigations of complex financial crime threats. Your main focus will be liaising with banking partners to manage financial crime risks via RFIs, reviewing and escalating sanctions reports, and handling travel rule alerts. You will own end-to-end investigations involving digital assets and fiat currencies.
This role requires flexible hours (06:00-20:00 GMT/BST), with occasional weekend shifts. We value team players who are adaptable, capable of managing priorities, and delivering high-quality investigations and presentations to senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
- Respond to RFIs from banking partners.
- Manage financial crime investigations from various triggers.
- Review and escalate sanctions reports.
- Review sanctions and watchlist alerts.
- Support junior analysts and escalate issues as needed.
- Present findings to leadership.
- Draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- Collaborate on transaction monitoring rules.
- Identify and suggest improvements to controls.
Ideal candidate:
- Experience liaising with banking partners on RFIs and financial crime risks.
- Background in financial crime investigations or transaction monitoring, especially in regulated or digital assets environments.
- Skilled in mitigating money laundering risks and drafting SARs.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience reviewing sanctions/watchlist alerts.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
- Interest in digital assets and a desire to expand knowledge.
