  • Prepare and deliver UK GAAP statutory accounts along with interim and year-end reporting across multiple group entities.
  • Manage and support month-end close activities, ensuring timely completion and accuracy across both internal and external reporting outputs.
  • Oversee regulatory and industry reporting, ensuring all submissions meet FCA, PRA, and internal governance standards.
  • Produce monthly corporation tax workings and coordinate annual tax computations with external advisers.
  • Act as key contact for external auditors, ensuring all statutory audits are completed smoothly and efficiently.
  • Contribute to Risk & Control Self-Assessments, maintaining high-quality documentation and evidencing compliance with control standards.
  • Work closely with investment managers to guarantee accurate and transparent investment reporting.
  • Support the production of capital and liquidity forecasts, including Solvency II reporting and related analysis.
  • Maintain and update the Group accounting policies manual, ensuring ongoing alignment with UK GAAP and all relevant regulations.
  • Provide cover for the Financial Reporting Manager when required, taking ownership of key deliverables and leadership responsibilities.

About You

We’re looking for a technically strong accountant who thrives in a collaborative, evolving environment. You’ll combine attention to detail with commercial awareness and a mindset for improvement.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
  • Insurance/banking / Financial services / Wealth management industry experience
  • Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and regulatory reporting (insurance sector experience preferred).
  • Excellent analytical skills with advanced Excel and data analysis capability.
  • Clear communicator able to explain complex financial information simply and confidently.
  • Passion for automation, process improvement, and leveraging technology to add value.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting systems.
  • Familiarity with PRA/FCA regulatory frameworks.

Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-growth, PE-backed business that’s evolving fast and where finance plays a central role in shaping the journey.

You’ll gain genuine exposure across the group, work alongside ambitious leadership, and help drive ongoing improvements through AI, automation, and digital transformation.
