Our Finance team is looking for a highly proactive, enthusiastic and commercially-minded Financial Reporting Senior Analyst to join and help build a world-class finance function. This role is well suited to a fully qualified Chartered Accountant with an audit background.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the business and products to write insightful management commentary.
  • Partner with engineers and data teams to automate the production elements of reporting, freeing time for higher-value work.
  • Understand the accounting system and maximise its features to minimise manual elements of reporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date, scalable financial reporting policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Support the full year-end process, from drafting the annual report to external audit sign-off.
  • Review new products, assess accounting, and implement in the banking and accounting systems.
  • Assess the impact of accounting standard changes and propose policy updates for new products.
  • Maintain and develop controls to protect financial data and balance sheet substantiation processes.
  • Assist with the implementation of a new accounting system to minimise manual reporting efforts.
  • Support production of ESG sustainability reporting and disclosures.
  • Prepare monthly management and ad-hoc reports with meaningful analysis of movements.
  • Review and assess accounting impact of new contracts in collaboration with the business and legal teams.
  • Support a swift month-end close through effective processes with the internal finance team.
  • Respond to inquiries and support the broader finance team with forecasting, valuations, bank transfers, and tax policy research.

Qualifications

  • Qualified chartered accountant (ACA or CA) with an audit background; ideally some experience in financial reporting and control outside practice.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Understanding of the banking and regulatory landscape and key financial controls.
  • Self-starter who is proactive in tackling tasks and delivering reports for investors.
  • Ability to translate complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Interest in using data (SQL skills a bonus).
  • Thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a listed company or financial services regulated environment.
  • US reporting/SOX compliance.
  • Strong business partnering and commercial financial acumen.
  • ESG reporting/audit of sustainability information (carbon footprint, CSRD).
