Financial Risks and Controls Senior Manager

Responsibilities

  • Establish a robust financial risk management framework and lead monthly Risk and Control Governance Forums with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with operational teams to align finance risks with the firm’s risk appetite and provide a strategic finance risk perspective on significant projects and initiatives.
  • Drive process improvement and innovation within the finance function, enhancing financial controls and methodology.
  • Facilitate successful statutory and internal audits, collaborating with auditors to implement control recommendations.
  • Partner with representatives from across PwC’s global network to share insights, develop solutions, and ensure consistency in financial control practices.
  • Lead the overhaul of the core finance system as a central advisor.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or international equivalent) with extensive experience in financial controls, ideally within a large professional services firm and knowledge of IFRS, SOX, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading high‑performing teams.
  • Strong financial analysis skills and regulatory compliance expertise, including complex accounting issues.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting software, ERP systems, and robust Excel abilities.
  • Proficient problem‑solving and strategic thinking, with a focus on accuracy and detail.
