About the Role: As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair, and fault diagnosis of fire alarm and security systems across a wide portfolio of clients. Covering a variety of commercial, residential, retail, and public sector properties, no two days will be the same. You will maintain systems from a range of manufacturers including Texecom, Paxton, Hikvision, Honeywell, and others, working to the highest standards to ensure full compliance with relevant regulations such as BS 5839 for fire alarms. Your role will also include supporting commissioning works, identifying system upgrades, and ensuring that customer sites remain fully protected and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Diagnose faults efficiently, providing practical and cost-effective solutions to clients.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) visits and respond to reactive service calls.
• Ensure systems are tested and certified in accordance with industry standards (including BS 5839, PD 6662, and NSI/SSAIB guidelines).
• Produce accurate and detailed service reports, highlighting any remedial works required.
• Liaise with clients, providing professional advice and guidance on system operation and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with company health & safety policies and safe working practices at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a field-based Fire and Security Service Engineer role.
• Solid working knowledge of a range of systems such as Texecom, Paxton, Honeywell, Hikvision, or equivalents.
• Familiarity with industry standards including BS 5839, BS 7671, and EN 50131.
• Recognised industry qualifications such as FIA Fire Alarm Units or equivalent certifications preferred.
• ECS/CSCS card beneficial (training provided if required).
• A proactive approach with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
