Fire Risk Officer

Overview

A Housing Association is currently looking for a Fire Safety Officer on a temporary basis for 3-6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage completion of Fire Risk Assessment actions
  • Provide guidance to internal staff members on completion of Fire Safety action
  • Communicate with internal teams to help with access
  • Raise, track & receipt purchase orders in our system
  • Lead weekly and monthly contract meetings with contractor/s, set agendas, consistently reviewing workloads, expected completions, work in progress
  • Liaise with consultants - Savills and Clear Safety when needed for post inspections, quote checks, specifications

Pay and working arrangement

PAYE £23.03 Umbrella £30.46

Hybrid role: 3 days in the office. Shifts: 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

Essential requirements

  • Must have a similar background in fire safety
  • Ability to manage contractors, build strong working relationships to ensure the buildings are compliant and safe for our residents
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective IT skills including intermediate MS Office skills
  • Must be immediately available or on short notice
