Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in civil engineering or geography who are passionate about delivering high-quality solutions in flood risk management and drainage design. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our projects and contributing to the development of innovative and sustainable designs. This position requires a hybrid working arrangement, with two days per week in the office and the remainder of the week from home.

As a Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer you will be required to; -Residential, Commercial and Industrial Development Projects for Public and Private Sector Clients.

* Complete flood risk assessments in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

* Develop detailed drainage strategies to support planning applications and project delivery.

* Design drainage systems using software including causeway Flow, InfoDrainage, and Civils 3D.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of drainage and flood risk solutions into broader project designs.

* Prepare technical reports and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.

* Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are met.

* Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to flood risk and drainage.

Candidates are required to have;

* A degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline.

* Proven experience in flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, and drainage design.

* Proficiency in using Flow, InfoDrainage, and Civils 3D software.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

* Familiarity with relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards in flood risk and drainage.
